Lester the White Boar first joined the menagerie in 2019, and if you have visited the King Richard III Visitor Centre in Leicester you might have seen the kit available in the gift shop! This pattern was inspired by the white boar that became the emblem of Richard when he was the Duke of Gloucester and later became king; a symbol of strength and bravery. The boar was also used as propaganda during the War of the Roses, when Richard III made badges and distributed them to his supporters.

This crochet animal kit contains TOFT’s quality pure wool yarn and an easy-to-follow downloadable pattern. YOU WILL NEED: To complete your crochet animal you will need a few added extras including a 3mm crochet hook, toy stuffing and a wool needle. Find everything you need in our haberdashery section or upgrade to a complete kit which includes all of the above!
MEASUREMENTS: When finished your White Boar will be approximately 27cm tall from feet to top of ears.
