launch of new handturned wooden buttons

Following the endless enquiries about whether we would sell our giant handturned buttons individually (especially last weekend at Olympia!), we have decided to put them on sale. For any of you looking for natural oversized wooden buttons with a great story- then these wooden buttons are for you.

Toft's wooden buttons are being handturned less than ten miles from the farm, and will be made in limited quantities of different varieties of wood. We are opening the selection with yew and laburnum. Each button is individual and sure to draw attention on your latest handknitted project.

We have had the wooden buttons made in three oversized sizes: 'small' with two inch diameter. 'medium' with a three inch diameter' and 'giant' with a five inch diameter. For those of you too faint hearted to wear an item with our giant buttons on- you can always use them as very fancy coasters while you build up the guts.

We will introduce a 'large' in 4inch shortly, alongside our own range of handturned wooden needles.

These buttons are gorgeous and sure to fly off the shelves faster than our woodturner can make them. A fantastic natural eco-friendly accessory to any handknit.
