A wet weekend in Coventry...Ravelry and Kenilworth!
08 June 2009
Despite the awful weather this weekend we have had a great time out and about with a couple of our boys...and tonnes of yarn!
On Saturday was the first Ravelry Day- a great knitting event which we know will go from strength to strength every year. Lucky for us this year it was hosted in Coventry City Hall so it was easy for us to pop across with two of our boys.
Jabba and Scallop thoroughly enjoyed Rav Day and had their photos taken by hundreds of knitters eager to meet 'the producers'.
I hosted a felt workshop for a couple of hours in the morning, which i have had great feedback on despite there being so many of us...and not a great deal of table space!
We were very very busy all day on the tradestand, and one of our Giant Bulb Bags also featured in the fashion show.
it was great to meet so many of our customers who have bought on-line in the past. We have made many more friends and hopefully have introduced some people to alpacas for the first time.
Sunday we attended the Kenilworth Show with Jabba and Akitla. Again a very wet day that did dry up towards the end- soggy alpacas all round!
This morning we have had another cria- a little light fawn boy...a slightly traumatic birth but both mother and cria are fine.
This weekend we're at the Rolls Royce event at Kelmarsh Hall.
Photo kindly sent in to us by Awfulknitter on Ravelry.
