First Basic Toft Felt Workshop a Great Day for All
01 June 2009
This Sunday we hosted the first Toft basic felting workshop. The day runs 10-4pm and involves getting to know a lot more about alpacas as well as the basics of felting. We started the day with a farm walk to meet the herd and of course admire the eleven cria on the ground.
It was a scorching day and so we moved the entire workshop outside into the shade. After a morning getting into wet felting we were interupted just before lunch by a birth!
The twelve ladies on the workshop witnessed the birth of a little white boy- who has been named 'Denethor'- a Lord of the Rings volunteered by one of the workshop attendees!
After a great lunch we finished the day in the shop being inspired by the handiwork of felters such as the makers of the Toft Teds!
A great day was had by all- we look forward to seeing what the group managed to complete at home so send us your pictures!
