Shear Success

04 June 2007

Despite the unpredictable weather at the beginning of the week we managed to shear most of the herd. Only this morning I have driven the fibre over to Banbury to kick-start this year's processing. The 'harvest' has been plentiful and the quality of the fleece coming off the animals' backs has been stunning. Hopefully the first batch of white knitting yarn should be back to me within a month and can then head straight back out to be knitted up.

If you're a handspinner looking for fleece then now is the time to buy as I can offer a full range of the colours in very high quality.

I am however looking to buy first fleeces off any owners baffled by what to do with their fibre. I am especially interested in buying grey and black fleeces and am very happy to come and collect them from you- please contact me for further detail.

If you're out and about round Draycote or in Dunchurch make sure you take a trip to see our freshly sheared animals bathing their newly streamlined figures in the sunshine.
