Toft Sucess at Alpaca Fiesta BAS Show

The
Toft Alpaca Trailer attended the Heart of England Alpaca Fiesta last
weekend. 2008 is the first year the Heart of England Regional Alpaca
Group have held BAS spring show at Purston Manor, Brackley, and Toft
turned up in force to show support.
In the show ring we celebrated fantastic success with our male show
team. With our whites Aragorn received Champion intermediate White male
and Scallop taking 2nd in intermediate White Suri Male. Our brown boys
made us very proud again, all Skywalker sons taking 1st 2nd and 3rd in
Intermediate Brown Male, a 2nd in Junior Male and 1st in Senior male.
Jaina went on to take colour champion over his brothers emperor and
Quai Gon Gin. Toft has done very well in the show ring over the past
couple of years with the brown males, last year R2d2 taking best brown
at the National Show. The cancellation of the National 2008 due to
bluetongue will mean that our show team will be out in force at the
Kenilworth, where our browns will hopefully prove themselves worthy of
rosettes again.
We had four pregnant females for sale alongside our herd tradestand
promoting our courses for the summer. Places are still available for
the Camelidynamics, Cameron Holt, and Introductory Days in July-Oct. It
was great to see so many breeders at the fiesta, and it was a great
start to the trailer tour 2008- dates will be posted very shortly.
