Bear Flair, Customise your Teddy Competition 2008

The Toft Teddy Bear kit is made using 100% recycled packaging and contains all you need to make a 100% natural British alpaca bear. The initial pattern is very simple, but knitters are encouraged to get creative with the customisation. Give your Toft Teddy a personality by using unusual buttons, sewing emotions and expressions onto the face, or even knit clothing for your bear!

The Competition
Knitters are invited to submit photographs of their finished Toft Teddy Bears to The Toft Alpaca Shop, perhaps with a short paragraph of text about what they did, or the bear’s name. All of these photos are guaranteed to appear on www.thetoftalpacashop.co.uk in a gallery display showing what other knitters have made form their Toft Teddy kit. On December 1st 2008 a winner will be selected by an independent judge, and they will be awarded the prize of a luxury weekend break in luxury self-catering accommodation at Toft Alpacas.

The Prize
Toft Manor Cottage, in the grounds of Toft Manor, is perfectly situated on the side of Draycote water between the villages of Thurlaston and Dunchurch in North East Warwickshire. Located close to the historic towns of Rugby, Coventry, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick, Kenilworth and Leamington Spa with the Cotswolds only twenty minutes driving- Toft Manor Cottage offers a perfect location for sightseeing exploring and shopping. Toft Manor itself is home to Toft Alpacas, a pedigree herd of over 200 alpacas which roam the fields around the cottage on this busy alpaca stud farm. For those guests who are looking for something different Rob & Shirl offer farm walks and are only too willing to include you in their daily routines with these wonderful animals.
