COMPANY

TOFT is a full-service craft company designing and manufacturing fashion-led knitwear and is based on an alpaca farm in Warwickshire.  We grade the raw fibre, design the yarns, develop the patterns, teach people how to make them and deliver all of that with a smile and a big cup of tea at our on-farm studio.

We are modern craft evangelists and the team is comprised of creative, independent thinkers challenging perceptions of knitters and crocheters. Our diverse business means there is never a boring day in the TOFT office or studio as we despatch orders, teach workshops and design and develop new patterns to take to market.

The ideal candidate's personality and qualifications for both roles should include:

·         Passionate about all things natural, British and DIY craft.

·         Excellent written English skills.

·         Analytical, rigorous and quick to learn.

·         Inquisitive and determined.

·         Web savvy and interested in online behaviour.

·         Creative yet commercial thinker with a flexible attitude towards problem solving.

·         Adept at using Microsoft office, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word.

 

ROLE ONE: 

STUDIO ASSISTANT 

TOFT is looking for a dynamic, talented individual with a good level of knitting and crochet skills to join their team. The candidate should be comfortable in front of a crowd, have a flexible approach to work and a positive ‘can do’ attitude. There is huge potential for growth and professional development within this exciting and dynamic company who are undergoing rapid expansion.

 

The Candidate

Confidence in customer service.

Knitting and crochet skills covering all the basics and preferably more. 

Interest and knowledge of craft sector.

Articulate with strong communication skills essential.

Ability to learn quickly and work within a fast paced environment.

Passion, drive and enthusiasm.

Well presented.

 

The Role

Part time. 21hrs a week to include Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. 

Serving Toft Studio customers.

Hosting and teaching of Toft workshops (thorough training provided).

Assisting in Planning the studio events schedule. 

Ensuring the Studio is presentable and maintaining product displays. 

Working with the team to ensure the Studio delivers a highly memorable customer experience. 

 

ROLE TWO: 

BOOKEEPER

The Candidate

Strong written and spoken business English skills.

Ability to learn quickly and work within a fast paced environment.

Possess a meticulous attention to detail.

Passion, drive and enthusiasm.

Well presented.

 

The Role

Part time. 21hrs a week with flexibility around days.

Some of the key roles of this position include:

Control companies accounts with Sage Line 50 including purchase and sales ledger.

Ensure all legal liabilities are met. E.g. VAT and PAYE etc.

Being fully conversant with Microsoft Excel, Word and other Office products.

Invoicing and payment chasing.

Stock control input/output

Answer phone at busy times. Route or take messages.

Aid in general day to day office operations

 

Sage and accounting experience is vital in this role - along with proven time management skills, the ability to prioritise your workload and meet deadlines.

As well as having advanced sage experience, you should be confident with multi company and internal intercompany journals. A good solid bookkeeping background is a must with accuracy and attention to detail being paramount.
