We're getting our knitters on standby to start to develop some new sock knitting patterns for the A/W 12/13 collection launched in September.

It's been a long time in development to get the formula for a good sock knitting yarn perfect, but we think we've cracked it.

This 80% alpaca 20% nylon Oatmeal alpaca yarn has all the softness and warmth of alpaca but with the hardwearing qualities that mean they can be worn in your wellies with no risk of darning emergencies.

The yarn had a high twist to ensure strength and has a really lovely sheen and lustre which will be gorgeous in lace and mini cable patterns.

We know that lots of Toft fans have been asking for a nylon sock mix yarn for a while and so we're pretty sure it will be a hit.

You can knit our upsidedown heart socks in this yarn as a direct subsitute for our 'Fine' yarn. We're feeling quite inspired to get the dpns out and have a go ourselves right now!
