Toft Alpacas Working with Practical Action Charity

23 April 2008

Toft Alpacas is proud to announce that it will continue to work closely with local charity Practical Action, with particular attention to their projects in Peru. Following the success of the collaboration selling Christmas cards on behalf of practical Action in 2007, Toft Alpacas has now changed the supplier of our finger puppets to get them direct from Practical Action. We will continue to sell the hand knitted finger puppets made by indigenous families in Peru, but now £1 from each finger puppet will go straight to Practical Action.

The hand knitted alpaca finger puppets will retail at £2.50 and are available in brown and white. Each finger puppet, very popular with children of all ages, are hand knitted on four needles. The alpacas are decorated with brightly coloured saddles and ear tassels- traditional decoration of Peruvian Alpacas.

Toft Alpacas is thrilled to be able to offer people the chance to aid Peruvian charity work in the purchase of these alpaca tokens, and hope to raise plenty of funds to help Practical Action with their on going charity work in Peru.

Toft Alpacas will begin to sell the Alpaca cards for Practical Action again later this month, and are working on a collaborate project for later in the summer.
